Gano Excel has been led by Mr. Leow Soon Seng since its inception in 1995. He is a mycologist and entrepreneur from Kedah, Malaysia. In 1980, Mr. Leow Soon Seng learned about the legendary red mushroom, Ganoderma lucidum. He was amazed at the health benefits that the mushroom offered the body: balance, energy, and strength. He thought of the goodness that he could share with Ganoderma.
He envisioned Ganoderma as a way to spread happiness to others in his community, and around the world. However, it was too costly for the average consumer. So, in 1983, Mr. Leow decided he would find a way to cultivate this mushroom himself. He researched Ganoderma for more than a decade, comparing the hundreds of varieties of the mushroom, and testing different cultivation methods. He was patient, diligent, and committed to perfection. He developed new techniques for growing Ganoderma that protected the potency and purity of the mushroom. Finally, with a product he was satisfied with, he was ready to establish Gano Excel in 1995.
